Canyon Bakehouse Gluten Free Bread Reviewed
A gluten free bread I like!
The day has come! I found a gluten free bread that I actually like! I honestly never thought I'd see this day but while in Whole Foods this weekend, there was a new bread in the freezer bread section. I gave up trying new gluten free breads long ago but something in me made me grab and say "OK, I'll give it a whirl".
So I took it home and decided to give gluten free bread one more chance. I bought the San Juan 7-Grain bread and I made myself a sandwich with some Boar's Head Turkey for lunch. The Canyon Bakehouse says about the bread, "The San Juan 7-Grain is named after the beautiful San Juan Mountain Range in southwest Colorado. It is loaded with healthy whole grains and touched with a hint of sweetness. Great for sandwiches, buttered or dunked in your favorite soup."
When I took a slice out of the bag I was pleased how "bread-like" it looked (compared to other brands). So I got a little excited to try it. The texture was soft and had some crunch to it because of the grains. I fell in love. Now, I'm not a huge bread person (anymore) but this was a pretty exciting find for me. The only con to the bread, as with other gluten free breads, the crust sort of fell apart while holding it but I managed to eat it all before it was all over the plate.
Canyon Bakehouse also has a cinnamon raisin bread, rosemary & thyme foccacia and hamburger buns that I'd like to try next!

Canyon Bakehouse hamburger buns are the best gluten free buns I've tasted. I use them as buns and toasted "muffins". They are generous enough to slice each half lengthwise creating a lower calorie sandwich. I've had the focaccia bread also. Great with soup, stews and chili! Thank you Canyon Bakehouse.
I totally agree!!!
