NEW Gluten free products to hit the market!

New gluten free products to hit the market! First, a new gluten free flour being sold by Williams Sonoma. Cup4Cup Gluten Free Flour was developed exclusively for Williams-Sonoma by Chef Thomas Keller. The NYTimes wrote a review of the product earlier this week and I promptly went online to place my order. It's currently sold exclusively on Williams Sonoma website for $19.95 for a 3lb bag. I'll let you all know when I try it but would love to hear if any of you bake anything yummy with it.

The second new product comes from Gorton Seafood frozen foods. According to a press release, "Gorton’s Seafood has announced that its Grilled line of fish is now gluten free, with a variety of flavors and grilled fish species including Grilled Salmon, Grilled Tilapia, All Natural Grilled Fillets made from Alaska Pollock, and Grilled Haddock. Each fillet is expertly flame-grilled and seasoned, with the same taste millions have come to know and love, but with the added assurance that they are now gluten free. Procedures have been implemented at the production location to avoid the risk of cross-contamination, and there is ongoing monitoring and testing to ensure that Gorton’s Grilled Fish is gluten free." Personally, I'm not a frozen fish fan (living in S. FL kind of makes you a fish snob!) but it's good to know there are more gluten free options available!!

So, at first I freaked out about the price, but then I realize that I pay about $7 a box for the King Arthur gf flour, and they are actually comparable. Still, I can't quite wrap my head around the price, so my sister is getting me a bag for Christmas. We are serious foodie nerds, and well, who else is going to buy you $17 flour?
